Raimu is an entomologist whose assistant is engaged to his daughter. That both father and son-in-law are more familiar with the mating habits of bugs than brides is evident when the couple return from their week-long honeymoon with the marriage still unconsummated. The new bridegroom
beseeches his wife's father to help him with a solution to his problem and Raimu goes off to seek advice, all of which is handled with great delicacy in a situation that could easily become objectionable. A clever parallel is drawn between the difficulties of the bridegroom and a pair of rare bugs
