The Company She Keeps: Review

From the title one would think this was a light comedy. It's anything but. Greer is a parolee who has just done two years of a five-year term for passing a bad check. Scott is her parole officer, a sweetie who is dating O'Keefe, a newspaper columnist. Greer is understandably itchy after having been in the company of other women for so long and makes a play for O'Keefe. Next, Greer attempts to help a fellow parolee, Baker, who has gotten into some trouble. That little beneficence puts Greer in danger of going back inside until Scott gets Greer off the hook with the authorities. By doing that, Scott loses the love of O'Keefe, who is now smitten with Greer. Before we fade out, O'Keefe is made to realize that he is giving up a helluva woman for Greer. leave a comment
