Just because it was written and directed by a woman doesn't mean the title isn't exactly the vulgar double entendre you think. In fact, all that separates this oversexed sex-and-drugs teen comedy from the horny hijinks of PORKY'S or AMERICAN PIE is that it's told entirely from the girl's side of the bed. That, and the sad fact that it isn't nearly as good. Unlike the desperate teen males of moviedom, "losin' it" isn't an issue for privileged Manhattan high school senior Stream Hodsell (Bonnie Root); the film opens as she's being relieved of that burden by less-than-attentive boyfriend Chad (James Roday).
