Comin' Round The Mountain

Autry is upstaged by his horse, Champion, in this mixed-up western centering on a horse race and a burlesque bullfight. Burnette relieves his badly scripted lines with improvisation and outstanding comedic timing; Rutherford, as a ranch owner, gives an acceptable performance, though her part is not demanding; and Noble's good camerawork records the action and outdoor scenery with a flair that is mainly responsible for the movie's limited success.
