Fast-moving Burns and Allen farce offers rapid-fire jokes and a host of vaudeville acts ranging from trained seals to acrobats to smart dogs. Gracie is the wealthy daughter of Barbier. He temporarily turns over his money to Gracie to discourage a gigolo who has eyes for his other daughter, Furness. Allen turns the Park Avenue mansion into a boarding house (at no charge) for various down-at-the-heels show business types. As Burns serves straight lines on a silver platter, Allen delivers the punches with her customary technique, and the picture ends with a show at the mansion that gives everyone a chance to do their thing.
