A boxer, Nolan (Regis Toomey), meets with an early retirement when he breaks his arm in the ring. He becomes a bouncer in a nightclub where innocent hoochie-koochie dancer Adele (Dorothy Sebastian) is the star, only to become the victim of an envious rival for her affections. Nolan,
needing money to get Adele out of a jam, reenters the ring despite his crippled south paw. James J. Jeffries, world heavyweight champion from 1899 through his initial retirement in 1905, plays a referee.
