Come And Take It Day: Review

Modest on-camera talent keeps this ingenious script from taking off, but writer-director Jim Mendiola makes clever use of historical legend as the basis for a crime story moored to a tragic legacy. In South Texas, ex-con Jesse (Jesse Borrego) and his comic-book loving cousin, Miguel (Jacob Vargas), work at menial restaurant jobs.
