COLOR ME BLOOD RED, part three of Herschell Gordon Lewis' filmed-in-Florida gore trilogy (BLOOD FEAST; TWO THOUSAND MANIACS), concerns an artist, Adam Sorg (Don Joseph), who gains fame when he begins to use his own blood on the canvas to get a perfect shade of red. Predictably, he becomes a bit anemic and turns to killing his models for their blood, using a number of grisly methods to dispatch them. A blatant rip-off of Roger Corman's BUCKET OF BLOOD (as Lewis openly acknowledges), this was the last film for the partnership of producer David F. Friedman and Lewis. leave a comment
