When the beloved valet of a millionaire is murdered, American private detective Barker is hired by the old businessman to uncover the murderer. Barker travels to South Africa where he discovers that the murder is linked to a group of Nazi prisoners of war who never returned to Germany.
This stupid James Bond ripoff was given a clean, lush look by cinematographer Roeg who became one of the most complex, disturbing directors of the 1970s and 1980s, his films including DON'T LOOK NOW and THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH.
