Ventura is a stolen-art dealer recruited by thieves Aznavour, Biraud, and Geret into a plan to rob a moneylending establishment. When the heist fails, the other men speed off in the getaway car, leaving Ventura behind to be captured by the police. Rather than betray his cohorts, he serves a five-year jail term. Upon his release he finds that his former comrades have been stealing his property, so he sets out to avenge himself by murdering the thieves. After he kills the last one, Ventura is framed for another killing by Geret's girl friend (Demick), with whom he has fallen in love. Ventura is sent to prison and Demick reaps all the profit. Good, funny caper comedy with a marvelous cast. leave a comment
