Agnes Varda's second feature -- a French New Wave classic -- follows a rising pop star, Cleo (played superbly by Corinne Marchand), as she awaits the results of a test for cancer. Photographed almost exclusively in the streets of Paris, the film is a chronicle of 90 crucial minutes in Cleo's life as her perceptions begin to change in the face of a possible death sentence.
