Literally, a slice of life. Agnes Varda's second feature opens with an overhead shot of a table, two pairs of women's hands, and a deck of tarot cards. The woman whose fortune is being read, Cleo (played superbly by Corinne Marchand), is told she has cancer. Cleo is dreading the results of
