Class Of '44: Review

Sequel to SUMMER OF '42 has Grimes, Houser, and Conant repeating their roles as they graduate from high school. Conant joins the Marines, while the other two enroll at a prestigious eastern university. There the film turns into a routine fraternity story as the boys face the hazing of frat president Atherton in a string of episodic gags. At the close, the film veers abruptly back into high melodrama as Grimes' father dies and the boy is forced into manhood. leave a comment
