Karns is a mysterious stranger who drifts into a wealthy, if eccentric, family and puts things right. Daughter Whitney falls in love with him, but he ends up marrying the family tutor after saving son Downs from the blackmail scheme of the servants. Second-rate imitation of MY MAN GODFREY, with Pallette playing virtually the same role he played in that film, and not very convincingly. High point is a marvelous drunk scene by the matriarchal Byington. leave a comment
