Cheated out of his life savings by a corrupt lawyer, Blackwell leaves England and emigrates to Canada. While he is trying to make a go of ranching, an airplane crashes nearby. Blackwell aids a young lady survivor who is suffering amnesia following the crash. He eventually learns she is the
lawyer's daughter, but still saves her from marrying a conniving suitor. American stage and screen actor Blackwell, "the Clark Gable of the silents" with film credits dating back to 1909, emigrated to England after his popularity at home diminished with the advent of talkies. His acting career
faded and he tried his hand at producing, directing, and writing, with modest success.
