Brown plays a dual role as a circus-struck young man and as his father, a former circus performer who opposes his son's infatuation with the big top. As the son, Brown falls in love with a female impersonator and joins the circus. Realizing his mistake, he falls in love with Ellis, a trapeze artist, is kicked out of the circus, and returns to save the day when Ellis's brother is too drunk to go on.
