In this trite film, O'Shea gets into a fight with a grocer who is killed during the battle. O'Shea is arrested and charged with the ax murder of the grocer, but he claims the man fell and struck his head on a stove. Three people say they saw O'Shea pick up an ax and strike the grocer. He
is convicted and sentenced to the electric chair. He breaks out of jail but is persuaded to go back by his son who thinks he can prove his father innocent in a retrial. He does, and O'Shea is freed.
