Another cold-blooded British espionage film, where "expendables" are written off in the blink of an eye. Andrews, as the British intelligence chief, devises a scheme to plant false information with the Germans during WW II in Normandy, by dropping an agent among them who doesn't realize the real nature of his mission. Andrews thinks that the Germans will believe the agent's story more if they have to beat it out of him. Andrews' assistant, Parker, is told to become friendly with a Canadian officer, Dillman, whom Andrews plans to drop, but her friendliness turns to love.
