A typical story of a wayward youth who tries to go straight is made more intriguing by its setting, the San Diego tuna fishing industry. There is a strong youth-vs-age conflict between Jones, who joins the tuna fleet rather than be thrown into jail, and Egan, who plays the disapproving
father of the Portuguese-American girl Jones loves. Jones tries to do well and straighten out his life, but there are people who would stop him at every turn. The film was produced by actor William Conrad.
