Made 10 years after BORN FREE, CHRISTIAN THE LION has Travers and McKenna once again involved with the destiny of a lion. This time it is Christian, a young lion born in a London zoo. Travers and McKenna take the lion from its owner and try to return it to the wilds of Africa. The plot
line revolves around getting Christian to make the transference from human beings to other lions. The narration, which Travers and McKenna take turns presenting, is entertaining and often witty, but the real star of the show is Christian, a ham who steals the show from its human costars. (Sequel
to THE LION AT WORLD'S END, 1971.)
