A group of Americans helps some anti-Castro Cubans attempt to overthrow the communist regime. Though released a scant few months after the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion, this film bears little resemblance to that event or to reality. Shot on the Isle of Pines, the film features a performance by Jake La Motta, who acted in minor films long before his own story came to the screen in RAGING BULL. leave a comment
