Bronson is a half-breed horse rancher in New Mexico who takes in teenage runaway Van Patten. He clashes with wealthy breeder Bozzuffi and falls in love with Bozzuffi's sister, Ireland. When Bozzuffi sees what is going on, he has Bronson beaten up and jailed. Bronson returns to his ranch, sets the horses free, burns down the buildings, and sends Van Patten away.
