It may lack the dramatic punch of his earlier These Three, but director William Wyler's second adaptation of Lilian Hellman's stage play is actually a much more faithful rendition. Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine are the headmistresses of a private school for young girls who become the target of a nasty student's (Balkin) malicious gossip.
