Light comedy about a Tucson couple whose marriage falters due to a conflict between the husband's get-rich-quick schemes and his wife's practicality. In his last wild thrust for wealth, Dailey mortgages the homestead to the hilt to buy some worthless mining stock. Holm has had enough and leaves him, vowing never to see him again, but loyal friends successfully scheme to get the couple back together. Amusing, but poorly directed, with a charming backdrop of boarders who support the plot and the family. Based on a play by Julius J. and Philip G. Epstein, writers of ARSENIC AND OLD LACE. leave a comment
