An ambitious state's attorney, Keith, innocently uses false evidence to convict union leader Foran of murder only to discover that the killing was a frame-up and the real criminals are power-hungry mobsters attempting to take over the union. To redeem himself, Keith devotes his time to proving Foran innocent and cleaning up the union. Keith gives a strong performance, and onetime western star Foran, though shown only briefly, is solid as the victimized union boss.
