Chicago Calling

A weak soap with an interestingly absurdist approach. Duryea is a down-and-out photographer whose wife and child have left him. He learns that they have been involved in a terrible auto wreck, and sits by the phone awaiting news of their condition. The phone becomes the most important thing in his life, and his lot gets even tougher when the phone company tries to discontinue service because of an unpaid bill.
