Bringing up the rear in the long, sad procession of SCREAM (1996) rip-offs is this blood-spattered mess of a teen slasher film from Geoffrey Wright, the once-daring director of ROMPER STOMPER (1992). The fun of SCREAM came in writer Kevin Williamson’s ability to wink at the audience and scare them silly at the same time. Wright attempts a similar feat, but he lacks Williamson’s wit and ingenuity.
