Based on Alan Caillou's book, this Disney film presents the heartwarming story of a contemporary American family conducting research in Kenya, and of their eventual involvement with a wild cat. While Earl Johnson (Timothy Landfield) and wife Jean (Breon Gorman) immerse themselves in their work, their teenage children, Ted (Keith Coogan) and Susan (Lucy Deakins), befriend a native boy, Morogo (Collin Mothupi), who introduces them to African culture and wilderness survival. While exploring, the kids come upon an abandoned baby cheetah that they instantly adopt and name Duma. But six months later, the Johnsons are to be transferred back to the US and must return Duma ...
