When forced to sing during a holdup in a broadcasting station, country bumpkin Lake becomes an overnight sensation and sends for his girl with plans for marriage. His boss, however, fears he will lose his singer and sabotages the wedding. This was John Wayne's sixth movie as a bit actor. Frothy and entertaining.
