This fast-paced British car-racing story features James Robertson Justice as Warren Ingram, a wealthy auto magnate who sends O'Donovan (Stanley Baker) to Italy to try to lure an auto designer away from his firm. Unable to persuade the designer, O'Donovan steals crucial blueprints and murders a guard. To avoid detection by the police, he joins the racing team led by Bill Fraser (Anthony Steel), and, in the pedal-to-the-floor finale, tries to make good his escape by hijacking a car from Fraser.
