A well-respected white district attorney who is dying of cancer has his brain successfully transplanted into a black man's skull. This new integrated man finds himself rejected by both blacks and whites. Eventually, the DA's beliefs are put to a test when he defends a white sheriff in
the murder of his black mistress. Other than an exceptional soundtrack by Duke Ellington, this gimmick-ridden film has little to offer.
