CERTAIN FURY is a trashy film and is notable only in that it features two Oscar winners, Tatum O'Neal and Irene Cara. O'Neal is a street tough in court on a rap. She's been in court before and is no stranger to the situation. Cara is an upper-crust type who was picked up with her boy friend in a stolen Jaguar and is frightened by everyone and everything around her. While they are waiting, a pair of hookers steal a policeman's gun and shoot up the place. In the ensuing chaos, O'Neal and Cara flee, but the police, who mistakenly believe them to be in cahoots with the others, pursue them. The film tries to be a modern-day female version of THE DEFIANT ONES but fails to be anything more than 87 minutes of tripe. leave a comment
