That Certain Feeling

1956, Movie, NR, 103 mins

starstarstarstar
Silly Hope comedy starring Ol' Ski Nose as a bumbling artist who ghost-writes famed cartoonist Sanders' strip because the master has lost his touch. Unfortunately for Hope, his ex-wife, Saint, is engaged to Sanders. With the help of Sanders' maid, Bailey, and a young boy, Mathers, Hope and Saint are reunited. The players look bored, especially Sanders (but then, he always looked bored), and the jokes are infantile. Look for a few of Hope's children as Mathers' playmates. Songs include: "That Certain Feeling" (George and Ira Gershwin), "Hit the Road to Dreamland" (Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen), and "Zing Went the Strings of My Heart" (James F. Hanley). leave a comment
