1963, Movie, NR, 106 mins

A dark, unmoving film that doesn't quite live up to its interesting premise. Harvey plays a man about to be executed in a Tangiers prison for a crime of which he is innocent. In actuality, he attempted to prevent the crime but ended up the scapegoat. A scheme devised by his brother allows him to escape. Once outside, though, he learns that his brother has been having an affair with his girl all along. After a fight and a car crash, the erring brother is captured by the police, mistaken for Harvey, and executed in Harvey's place. leave a comment
