Not a sequel to BRAVEHEART but something even less appealing, a coarse comedy about big-time basketball. Boston's playing Utah in the finals, and a pair of lumpen Celtics fans (Dan Aykroyd and Daniel Stern) stumble onto a scheme to clinch the championship: They'll kidnap Jazz franchise player Lewis Scott (Damon Wayans) just before the crucial seventh game. CELTIC PRIDE supplies predictably lowbrow yocks for jocks, and its rather disturbing racial implications go entirely unacknowledged. leave a comment
