An implausible plot haunts this B western directed by William Castle, later of horror fame. Carey, who has just served a robbery term, decides to go back and search for the hidden loot. Along the way he befriends an attractive young widow, Smith, and aids her with her troubled newspaper
business. He soon discovers he is being shadowed by a Wells Fargo detective who works for the victims of the heist. The climactic scene occurs in the title cave, where the detective gets the cash and Carey gets the lass. (Shot in the Carlsbad Caverns of New Mexico.)
