Cattle Empire

Effective oater which has McCrea cast as a trail boss recently released from prison. Hired by a familiar group of townsfolk who can't do without his services, he moves a cattle herd which will bring the town great prosperity; the catch is that these are the same folk his gang shot up years earlier. On the arduous but successful drive McCrea gains the respect of the townsfolk he hired as cowboys to help him on the trail. At times slow-moving, the story is driven along by McCrea's conviction and presence.
