Commander Laird Grainger (Sonny Tufts) leads Earth's first moon mission, accompanied by a four person crew: Helen Salinger (Marie Windsor), Laird's girlfriend; co-pilot Kip Reissner (Victor Jory), Laird's rival for Helen's affections; and crewmen Doug Smith (William Phipps) and Walt Walters (Douglas Fowley).
