Supersleuth lawyer William mixes gourmet cooking with humor and his usual breeziness in this early Perry Mason outing. In this case, he is playing around as an amateur chef in a San Francisco restaurant when he encounters a murder, the solution of which he reveals at a ritzy cocktail
party. Good entertainment, with an extra dash of spice for the alert--it was Errol Flynn's inauspicious debut in American films. First he is seen as a corpse, then briefly alive in a flashback near the end of the film.
