An excuse to film a host of variety acts, this bore about a club owner looking for new talent falls flat. Welles, the star-to-be, is wooed by both Clarke and Roux. It's club owner Clarke who ultimately wins her affections. Songs include "Bounce," "People Like You," "I Hear a Rhapsody,"
"Madame Will Drop Her Shawl," "Cielito Lindo," "Pancho Grande," and the somber "Fifty Games of Solitaire on Saturday Night."
