First-rate, glitzy trash. Deny it though he might, writer Harold Robbins obviously used Howard Hughes as the basis for Jonas Cord (George Peppard), a multi-millionaire power broker who seduces, then abandons his way through a series of women, starting with his father's widow (Carroll Baker).
