Essentially boring story of Coburn as a bachelor pathologist (a forerunner of "Quincy") who comes to Boston to join O'Herlihy's staff. Hong is arrested for the alleged abortion-manslaughter death of Torme-March, O'Herlihy's daughter. Coburn meanders through the film, encountering a host of
dull characters led by Dreier (the former TV newsman), Hingle, Allen, and Porter. O'Neill is wasted as a girlfriend of Coburn, and the denouement occurs when Coburn nails the true killer . . . but we won't give that away. Everyone who wasn't related to someone used a
nom de guerre on this film.
