Wallowing in second-rate melodrama, CAREFUL, HE MIGHT HEAR YOU is, unfortunately, a half-superb film. The successful half features six-year-old Gledhill as a wide-eyed lad who lives in the depression-era home of Nevin and Whitford. The boy is really the son of Nevin's sister, who died
during childbirth. Gledhill is given a nickname--"P.S."--because he was an postscript to his mother's life. The dreaded day, when a third sister (Hughes) returns from a global vacation and requests custody of Gledhill, finally arrives. An extremely wealthy and beautiful woman, Hughes calls for the
