Poor drama starring Lang as a 15th-century Roman Cardinal (a Medici) torn by his vows because he cannot use the information obtained in confession to clear his own brother of a murder charge. Marred by below-average performances by actors who forget they're supposed to be Renaissance-era Romans and use too many modern mannerisms to be convincing. leave a comment
