Captive Wild Woman: Review

Good B horror film starring Carradine as a mad scientist who turns a wild ape, provided by hunter/trainer Stone, into a half-ape, half-woman creature played by Acquanetta. The ape-woman falls in love with Stone and becomes enraged when the hunter spurns her affections for those of his girl friend, Ankers. In the climax the ape-woman puts aside her animosity and saves the life of Stone when he becomes trapped in a cage with wildcats. Good performances by the entire cast; effectively directed by Dmytryk. The film includes stock footage from THE BIG CAGE, a Clyde Beatty documentary. (Sequels: JUNGLE CAPTIVE, JUNGLE WOMAN) leave a comment
