Another "Jungle Jim" adventure starring Weissmuller as the intrepid explorer who travels into the heart of darkness to rescue blonde goddess Lhoest who has grown up in the wilds. Trouble arises when crazed medicine man Dehner tries to kill the girl to prevent her from revealing that he murdered her parents years ago. Sub-plot sees Crabbe as the evil leader of an expedition in search of treasure supposedly sunken in the bottom of Dehner's sacrificial pool. Usual jungle nonsense made somewhat interesting by the presence of Weissmuller and Crabbe, both former Tarzans, in the same movie for the second time in their careers, the first time being SWAMP FIRE in 1946. leave a comment
