This somewhat silly high-seas melodrama stars Payne as a salty sea captain who loses his command when his ship gets wrecked on a reef while he is drunk, depressed over the loss of his girl. It turns out that his crew conspired to ruin the captain so that the first mate, Lynn, could get his own ship. On Lynn's maiden voyage as captain, Payne climbs on board in an effort to clear himself.
