Rotten Hope comedy--his 54th film--with the 68-year-old comic playing a 42-year-old Lothario. He is a talk show host who becomes implicated in a murder. To save his marriage to Saint and to clear his name, he must set out to solve the crime. The corpse Hope finds in his hotel room is that
of a young American Indian girl, Carr. After running into mystic George and the dead girl's father, Darrow, he finally discovers that rich rancher Bellamy is responsible for the murder. Stupid walk-on cameos by Bing Crosby, John Wayne, and Flip Wilson don't make this lousy material any easier to
sit through. Somehow this whole mess was based on a novel by Louis L'Amour.
