Campus Confessions

1938, Movie, NR, 65 mins

starstarstarstar
Typical spirited college rah-rah film, exploiting the name of All-American basketballer Hank Luisetti. William Henry is cast as the son of Middle College dean Thurston Hall. Looker Grable's brushoff makes him determined to conquer academia. He resorts to shooting hoops and palling around with Luisetti, leading to campus popularity. A fine performance from Luisetti helps this one as he does what he does best. However in the big game's climactic moment, Hall does all he can to keep Luisetti on the bench. But, as expected, Hank sinks the winning two. As goofy as it all seems it's still a cheery, fastpaced comedy. leave a comment
