Calling Philo Vance

This lame addition to the Philo Vance saga came close to putting an end to the series of nearly a dozen films. In this reworking of the earlier KENNEL MURDER CASE, attention is paid only to tying together a loose plot, while the actors are treated merely as meat. An international cast supports this story of a murdered designer of a war plane and Stephenson's calculated efforts to crack the case. A remake that had no right to be remade.
