Second in the series of KILDARE medical dramas has the young doctor risking his career by treating the gunshot wounds of a young hoodlum who Ayres is convinced is innocent. The fact that the wounded punk's sister is Lana Turner further motivates the usually ambitious doc to chance losing
his promising future. Barrymore is his usual gruff self and the casting and production values are fine, but it is the terribly inconsistent script which keeps the film from being any better than a "B" melodrama. The Kildare character had been established in viewers' minds as upright and sensible;
